Shipping and Returns
Please note that during lockdown in the UK I will ship orders twice per week in order to limit non-essential travel.
Due to the pandemic the worldwide postal systems are under increased strain and therefore your parcel may take longer to arrive than described below. Please allow 2 weeks (UK) or 4 weeks (everywhere else) before contacting me about missing orders, at which point Royal Mail deem the order to be missing.
I aim to despatch orders within 2-3 working days of receiving your payment. If in the unlikely event I am unable to meet this deadline, I will contact you to let you know why.
Pre-orders and dyed-to-order yarns will take 2-3 weeks for me to dye before they are shipped. These items are clearly marked in the product listings.
UK orders will be sent via Royal Mail Second Class and normally take between 2-3 business days to arrive once shipped. As an alternative you can purchase a shipping upgrade to Royal Mail First Class or First Class Signed-For at check-out.
Orders from outside of the UK can be sent either via Royal Mail International Standard Delivery (a non-trackable, non-insured service) or by Royal Mail International Tracked service. Please note that if you opt for a non-insured service I am unable to refund your order in the event it goes missing.
US Shipping Increases
In 2020 UPS dramatically increased their prices for parcels entering the US from Europe. This is unfortunately out of my control and, as a result, shipping charges to the United States have increased.
I continue to monitor all postage costs frequently so that I offer the correct postal rates.
Customs & Export Taxes
The UK left the EU on 1st January 2021, as a result the trade agreement between the UK and European Union has changed. Customers ordering from EU countries should therefore be aware that they may incur taxes, duties and handling fees that will be payable upon the goods' arrival in their country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and Beehive Yarns is not responsible for delays if your package is held in Customs.
Please check your local tax/import information prior to ordering.
If you choose not to accept your package on arrival and it is returned to me, I will refund the value of the goods only, less any cost incurred by me.
I want you to be happy with your yarn however if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase please contact me as soon as possible, and within 14 days of purchase, via the contact form here.
All returned yarn must returned in its original condition to qualify for refund or exchange. The buyer is liable for return shipping costs.
If in the unlikely event your parcel arrives damaged please ensure you take clear photos of the items in their original packaging so that a claim can be filed with the postal service.
